"Toots" (a moniker derived as a trumpet player) finds the Guelph area very welcoming and supportive for artists. His vibrant oil paintings present local rural scenes. His soapstone sculptures often take the form of abstract organic shapes. Smaller soapstone pieces become hand-carved stone pendants resulting in "Natural Neckware by Toots".
Participation in art shows such as those sponsored by the Whitestone Gallery and Guelph Arts allows for discussion with other artists and the community and provides an impetus to constantly strive for excellence. He is a member of the People's Art Collective.
